ViciousV6 Check boost levels! Another video added!!!

Well Guys even the best parts have problems. Had nice big 60mm wastegat on my truck and couldn't figure out why it was creeping down on boost the full run! Wham then Ed Hess just had same issue and he's got the same gates.

So after pressurizing the vac. lines to wategate sure enough it was leaking so bad it was spitting at me. That would cause 2-3 lbs of boost loss after getting to peak.

So here are 2 videos of the test passes afterward, and had about a 1-1/12 lb drop and then when i got back founf the v-band wasn,t seated all the way. Now no leaks at all.

I have that same boost controller but I set it for 14 LBS and it creeps up to 18-19lbs. Not sure why yet.

Tial's? Read this about FAKE Tial's <click link from Tial Sports website.

If you have the Real Tial's I find it hard to believe there is a quality issue (Good Product).

I realize you have the 60mm Ralph. I don't believe they were copied...Yet!

What model wasstegate is it?

Inovative turbo's WG, not sure of the model, can't read the stamp on the side anymore.

i think its a pro-gate

How long you been using it. Its tricky to hook up and make the connections. Something could be connected wrong. Tonight went back to the same road and controller set on 17lbs and it held boost @ 15.7-16.0 lbs almost whole run.

I think i read the instruction 3 times. I use the manifold wiring and hook diagram.

Mine was built locally with an real tial lower gate, but the upper is fabbed from China so the metal is a little loser, used some Permatex and good to go.

Hey Ralph those are some great videos, I like how you can see the tach and the digital boost controller real easily when you stand on it. Something about those GT series turbos really shrieks! I have one in my 1990 Turbo Grand Prix and it sounds the same way. My non-BB PT51 on the Sy has a totally different sound. I can hear yours perfectly clear in the vid!! :tup:
