I'm shooting for at least mid 10s. I guess he has customers in the 9s with this motor. My truck is already pretty light and getting lighter all the time. It's going to come down to tuning, no secret about that. What's going to suck is getting kicked out of the track once I ran 11.49 or quicker with no rollcage, battery box, etc. It's staying 99% street driven anyway.

Very nice! One thing, are the rocker studs APR? If so they dont recommend using lock nuts, only Poly locks!

Yeah, they're ARP 3/8 rocker studs with Comp Pro-Magnum 1.6 roller-tip rockers. I plan to use the plastic '96 Vortec valve covers, so can someone confirm which poly-lock nuts will clear those covers? I read in this thread that the Crane 99795-16 poly-locks will clear...just need to know for sure this is the right way to go:

I used the ARP poly locks and had no clearance issues with them.
Running a .525 lift cam, the Comp Magnum 1.52 rockers and +.100 longer valves required slight clearancing on the inside of the covers.

I did some thinking and I've just decided to switch to the RPM 1.6 full roller rockers and sheetmetal valve covers. I'm too lazy to paint those Vortec plastic covers anyway. Will post pics as things progress.

pics look great. I see you re-routed the catch can hoses. If they are long enough try running a female -12an swivel fitting to connect the Y block to the catch can. May help keep fittings/adaptors/hose to a minimum.

Just ordered the AC compressor cover to finish off the billet pulleys...should look nice when installed.

Mike - Yep, I relocated the PCV catch can because there was just no room on the passenger side and plenty on the driver's side. I also relocated the Razor alky tank over there and will install the MSD fuel pump voltage booster right behind the alky tank. That -12 AN swivel fitting is perfect, I will order that and be done with it, thanks.

It's a beauty ring that wraps around the outside of the compressor.

As for the March cover, that looks right. You'll need a compressor clutch remover to install it as the kit comes with a new clutch that is drilled & tapped to mount the cover.
