Wanted: A/C hard fitting

Hi Guys,
For any of you that have deleted your A/C, would anyone be willing to give up the hard fitting that connects the lines to the back of the compressor - I don't need the lines just the aluminum fitting with a few inches of line sticking off of them.

This is my thinking.... I want to have one of our trusty friends here on the site re-create the hard fitting in a billet piece so that I can use braided A/C line to the compressor and have them come out at an angle such that they open up a ton of room for a fresh-air intake setup. This would be an easy, cool piece for someone to make - I'll be the guinea pig and do all the initial measuring/fitting... these are the lines I want to use (I also want to relocate the accumulator).

I think Syclones and Typhoons are the same (anyone know for sure??). I would need a Syclone one.
I'd even be willing to give you a deposit for it Mr. Cakes, give you one of CNC pieces when done, and return your original piece to you!

My A/C compressor has a bad front bearing and now is the time to make this braided hose idea that I have work, plus I'm sure a lot of other guys might want the same piece once it's available. It will sure open up all that area around the turbo inlet elbow and move those darn A/C hoses to a better spot!

Thanks,
Rob

Re: Wanted: A/C hard fitting

I have spare lines if you need them.

SyTy's are the same AFAIK.

I will most likely need these piece/s also when I get to getting my AC hooked up.

Re: Wanted: A/C hard fitting

I can pull the ones off my truck as well if you need them.

Mine is hooked up but hasnt been recharged.
And I have been wanting to do them in braided for awhile now.

Just never got any feedback from anyone who used those fittings and what adapters were necessary so I didnt want to start buying up the wrong fittings.

Let me know and we can work it out.

Re: Wanted: A/C hard fitting

Looks like Ken has you hooked up.

Before anybody tears a car apart I have 2 sets of lines laying on the shelf though.

Keep us updated on what fittings are off the shelf, or need to order, build, machine, etc.

Will do, Jeff
I think I'll try to create two options for guys... using NAPA braided hoses as option #1, or using Aeroquip from RJay's or Vintage Air as option #2. If we go the NAPA route I could probably make the entire thing available as a set.
I'll be moving my battery to the driver's side for the fresh air setup, so I'm thinking about moving the A/C accumulator down by the new fresh-air box (where the battery sits in its stock location). In addition to making room for the fresh air setup it should make things easier to work on getting the accumulator moved to a better spot.
I'll try to take a shot of my engine compartment tonight and photoshop in where I'm planning on moving things to.

Re: Wanted: A/C hard fitting

Any updates?

Getting warm and my truck needs some more weight added.

Re: Wanted: A/C hard fitting

I just had a shop do this with my hose assy. Though only with standard, rubber A/C hose.

I can take measurements if you would like.

Re: Wanted: A/C hard fitting

I doubt it would fit my setup as I seem to have an extra turbo and 2 extra cylinders.

Was hoping he found the ends, then I can make the hoses up local.

Re: Wanted: A/C hard fitting

Still working on this Jeff.... my CAD guy decided to go on vacation for two weeks just as I was ready to hand things off to him. He is back this week, so I'll try to get the part designed, a sample cnc'd, and the lines researched down at NAPA.... Ken is waiting on me too I think. Sorry for the wait
