I started doing a list, I know I am missing a few pieces. I haven't even gotten around to doing the prices. Feel Free to give your input to missing parts and give pricing. Have fun with it. I will update the first post as need and if comes out well and nobody objects I will make it sticky.

I want to say one of the Radiator Hoses is unique and the other is a standard S-10 part. I am not sure about the remote oil cooler lines.

Truckless. For now.
Re: Parts and Cost of a SyTy Clone

Nice!

I guess if someone was going to do an exact clone, you could add the ELC/Auto Leveling parts to the list as well. Not that anyone would actually use them, but it would complete the list... or at least help fill it out.

remote cooler lines are normal. IIRC the upper radiator hose is the oddball one

Hmmm Thanks for the list... Neat checklist for me.

- Core support stickers are SyTy specific. I have a stock 92 Ty core support for mine with stickers intact.
- Door jamb sticker is SyTy specific.

My 85 doesnt have shoulder belts in the rear. So I have to custom work the seats and side panels.
My 85 doesnt have a barcode on the VIN plate. Its a metal colored VIN tag and a SyTys is black.

my Tyclone has the following....
Red = have it
Yellow = have/had it but opted to change out
Orange = dont have/not using

-Front Bumper (Shared between Sy/Ty/SoGt)
-Front Bumper Support
-Front Arches (2) (Shared SyTy)
-Door Cladding (2) (Shared SyTy)
-Rocker Cladding (2)
-Foward Rear Quarter/Bed (2)
-Rear Arches (2)
-Rear Corners (2) These pieces are particular rare for Ty's
-Rear Bumper Cover (Shared Between SyTySoGt)
-Rear Bumper Support
-Front and rear frame brackets,
-Door Mounting Cups (12) and brackets (6)
-Rocker Mounting Brackets (6)
-Rear Quarter Hangers/Cups (Ty) or Sy Bed Cups (12)

-Syclone/Typhoon Stickers - Custom Tyclone stickers made

-Seats
-Steering Wheel Sold it for a Grant GT wheel.
-Door Panel Inserts
-Center Console
-Shifter Assembly

-Dash Cluster Sold it for a Sonoma GT one
-Cluster Housing
-Cluster Mount Brackets
-Cluster Harness
-SyTy Glove Box Emblem

- 16 x 8 Wheels, Center Caps, and Locks - Got 18" C5 wagon wheels
-Different Torsion Bar Rates (probably could be skipped on clones) I didnt know that.. damn
-Lowering Torsion bar pork chops Use a Bell Tech torsion key
-Rear Lowering Springs (I would use Belltech lowering spring instead) Used BellTech
-ELC (Ty only, Electronic Level Control), I would skip this pump, tubing, bracket, wiring harness, air shocks. The ELC also uses a fuse box with a ELC fuse. Had one but threw it out
-Shocks KYB Monomax up front and Bilstein in the rear

-Front Differential Tube (could be ommited on clone) Whats that?
-Front Propshaft
-AWD Transfer Case
-Transfer Case Brace

-SyTy Transmission 4L60e
-Transmission Crossmember

-Down Pipe and Catback Exhuast
-Upper and Lower Intake manifold
-Throttle Body
-Transmission/Cruise Bracket

-Fuel Rail and Lines
-Injectors
-Better Fuel Pump

I assume he's referring to the vent tube that goes from the front diff up into the engine bay. I believe it's attached to the firewall on the driver's side.

The 4X4 front differential can be engage and disengage, while SyTy are always engage.

Knock sensor is SyTy specific. BTW, the radiator hoses are standard S-Series issue, just for somewhat later models ('94, '95, etc...).

are you refering to the upper or lower rad hose? Found this thread by accident and I need a lower ASAP

Re: Parts and Cost of a SyTy Clone

A newer generation radiator will not fit an older gen rad support. Newer rads have "pins" which go into rubber grommets. Try to get the same generation radiator.

Re: Oil cooler. I had to convert to all rubber lines and re route/mount in second gen engine compartment. (2002)
