Auto Addictions Roll cage installed!!! PICS

Well I got the call that the rollcage is done in the TY. Im leaving @ 7 am to bring her home tommorow. Its been out of commision for a month and ended my short lived tuning attempts. For those of you not previously following my posts I was able to make a best of 10.90@126 and followed up buy many 11.0???. Ive made only about 12 passes on this combo and the local tracks had me removed for safety issues. (Roll Cage). Im very excited to get back and have at the 1320 again. Im going to have to put the interior of the truck back together then ill post up some pics of the cage work. Sorry no more racing videos till Nats is done , i dont want to hurt it before the trip.

What type of cage? What type of tubing? Swing outs? How much was it?

I want a 10 pt with swingouts for under 1k but not sure that is possible.

do yourslf a favor.
If the fab shop didnt allready call nhra to have a cert inspector go to their shop to do the cert, have them do it beofre you pick it up incase it needs anything.

cost like 150.

Oh No! It's a RACE CAR now! 6 point Cage! How much did it run to do and where is the shop! I didn't see any close ups of the welds.

Me and Harry got together on Friday for some tuning and like yours my timing was off 6 degrees from the BS3 commanded timing. So we adjusted that accordingly and then proceeded to go out and tune for 2 hours or so up and down 295 and fix all the AFR's, VE table, and even made some other adjustments, truck gained alot of power down low with the timing issue and of course when i get home tranny felt a bit soft. So cleaned her up and was going out for some kills until the tranny started slipping.

After all that find out when my tranny guy replaced the worn band never redid the clutches which are what went this time so by the end of the week tranny will be back and done.

So hopefully i can put out some low 11's next week 11.0 or 11.2 on 16lbs of boost with straight pump gas.

If you run 11.0s on pump gas@ 16 psi im going to strap rockets on my ty and fly that bitch to the moon!!!!!!!!!!! Question is if you do how many are you going to get on that trans.
Wish you were going to nats! Could of been fun racing each other. I suspect my ty will be slower with the cage installed! Oh yea Rhodes Automotive in Delaware did the cage in 2 weeks they did excellent work down to the welds. http://www.rhodescustomauto.com
