Ty #2065 Brazil
Re: Celeberity owned SY/TYs

My Ty's first owner was one of the "TITAS", the biggest rock band in Brazil in the 80's and 90's.
He died tragically, hit by a motorcycle in Sao Paulo downtown 10 years ago.

Found this tidbit on Leno's "Cyclone"...

From The Sunday Times

Motormouth: Jay Leno

I like Christmas but I don’t like the ever so deeply religious Christmas tree merchants. One year the merchant said delivery was free within four miles. I told him my address and he said it was five miles away.

I was furious. I said that for $160 or whatever it cost he should deliver it. He refused. Then I spotted a truck dealership across the street. So I went over, bought a GMC Cyclone and threw the tree in the back. It cost me about $36,000 to avoid a $25 delivery charge. Churlish maybe, but I was cross. It made perfect sense at the time.

I never want to take a nice car out for the evening so now it’s what I call my valet truck.

Truckless. For now.
Re: Celeberity owned SY/TYs

Leno must still have his Sy because he talks about it every once in a while. I was watching during the episode where he tells how the moron valet put it into a poll. After that incident, he no longer lets valet's park his vehicles.

I don't know how he fits in it. I've met him...he's tall and has a GIANT head.

Lindsey Hunter of the pistons has a TY also Joe Dumars had one. Some guys at the woodward dream cruise were offering to drop mine a few inches and showed me the work they had done on Dumars Ty.

It's time to drop the bashing of Jim McIllvaine. He's a photographer for GM High Tech Performance magazine, and a big fan of SyTys. You're only kicking yourself in the ass by insulting him.

I ran into Jim at Road America when I was racing there in 2004 and he went out of his way to photograph my truck on the track, and he got a killer shot (check it out: http://www.powertuneplus.com/syclone/0044.shtm)

When he interviewed me on the phone months later, he reiterated his love for SyTys. I ran into him again years later when he was putting a friend of mine's turbo LS1 into the magazine. He's a good guy and we should be kissing UP to him if anything. Who else works at a magazine and has a passion for SyTys?

no one was bashing him, we all looked up to him, just jealous that he got to play in the nba..

if i were him I'd be proud as hell to say i got dunked on by some of the best.. he wasn't an all-star but he was a damn good role player.
