Re: General consensus on spraying a SyTy?
Key word is a "little". If you are very very (and I mean big time very) good at tuning and have not only the patience to do so but also the will power to not become a "juice monkey", then yes and it has been done with good results by several (do a search). Be aware that our trucks will not tolerate any detonation and can be broken very easy in stock form from just a bad tune or fuel problem (but you prolly know this).
Now that being said, the average hotrodder is usualy of the more is better and if it took a 20-25 shot ok, then a 50 should be ok right? WRONG! Problem with nitrous is it's so easy that the (just a little more) monster creeps out in most of us and before you know it, you have boat anchor where your engine used to be N.O.S. enhances the effects of boost (or vice versa) And I myself am a certified "squeeze junkie". I have N.O.S. on 5 cars, 2 trucks 2 Harley's and a V-MAX, oh I forgot to mention I am a N.O.S. dealer / installer and at any one time have 8-10 fill station cylinders in the shop

.
For most I would say no, don't do it if you fit the "average" description above. If however you are in the tuner guru catagory with all the REQUIRED tools (data logging, WBO2, EGT, pressure and temp guages) then just go real real slow. I have run N.O.S. on blower engines for years and will on the Ty at some point also.
