I'm for sure out.

Next time??

You know you need to get a turbo on that GM to really stay GM TURBO, no? Think about it. AWD and Boost launch capabilities on an SS....= FUN.

Re: midwest wrench fest

Turbo kit for SS = $6500.

I'm waiting for others to do the R&D and find out what parts break :)

Re: midwest wrench fest

Well, thanks agian goes out to Clint for the help wrenching. Arrive and 9:20 AM and leave @ 9 PM with a complete, new F.S. Bar bushings and AFPR. He got help with a good garage cleaning and rearrangement. It's really nice to be able to use a lift too. For those who didn't make it, you missed a fun day. I suggest you attempt to make the next one and you will not be disappointed. Thanks again to Clint our gracious and eager SYTY host!!

Re: midwest wrench fest

So who did I see on Hwy 94 yesterday? I ran across 2 Ty's. Not every day that I can come on the freeway and see 2 trucks and I am actually in mine! I missed the info on the get together. Your trucks looked really nice. Sorry I missed it.

you gotta get in here more often!!

those two tys were headed here! they saw you and got your plate and asked me, who it was.

should have come it was fun! :D

sel777,..... after you left, i put my sy in, changed the tires, got rid of the spare tire that was under the truck, adjusterd the fpr, adjusted the wastegate, and filled the intercooler.

taking it out today, for a little import bashing around town.

after working on 2 ty's all day, i was geeked, and couldn't stop working, so i worked on the sy, untill the little woman showed up at like 10:30 and said get cleaned up, were going out!!

Re: midwest wrench fest

sorry that i couldn't make it i wanted to come so bad but my engine was kinda getting work done. i was puting in the vac/boost gauge.. took me a long time and crushing a compresion sleeve to hard ha.. learned my lesson there. Got that in then my brother came over and i had a friend with his sy came over to let me know of some things what to do and what not to do.. i'm sure by the next time you have a wrench fest, i will be ready to go  hoping to make the next one for sure..

Thanks Kevin it's pretty clean as my DD for the last 2.5 years. I love your plate...I wish mine was fast.

Clint - I had a feeling you would keep on wrenching. Looks like there is interest in another session...maybe before you move out of that nice garage. KEEP IT CLEAN & PUT YOUR TOOLS AWAY.
