Canadian SONOMA GT

The other day I saw a minty 1992 sonoma gt. I was canadian version. Identical to the american version.Interior was the same but no cladding. Full decals.I have seen a couple like this in the last ten years up here in Toronto. One was a wine color and the other a black/gray.
Anyone know about these ones?

I've never heard of a canadian SoGT ... and also never heard of one without the cladding. I wonder if they're some kind of oddballs? I suppose the vin would be helpful in trying to figure it out

Re: Canadian SONOMA GT

Nope. Both had the sonoma gt decals all around .They were 92's and they had no cladding. Interior was sonma gtjust like the syclone without the syclone engraved in the headrests.

No cladding at all. Looks like neither ever had any cladding. All bumpers were stock gm s10;but they both had all the sogt decals and full sogt interior.

Re: Canadian SONOMA GT

I wish. One I saw back in 1997 and the other last weekend at the mall. I am gonna post on a local s10 forum. It might be a members car up here.If I see it again.I'll get some pics.

there was one gallery on a members sig here with a forest green sonoma GT without cladding, I forget who. it had 2nd gen alloys and SO GT interior bits i believe, just no outside cladding, and OEM SoGT Decaling

That truck was a oddball, the owner removed the cladding when it was new, apparently didn't like it. Had a black one as well. It was the "white whale" because no one had ever seen a forest green SoGT before.

I wonder why on earth they would change the interior and not the exterior, unless the parts wouldn't pass import or something :dunno:
