Video of lifter flowing lots of oil...

What ever it takes!!
I'm having the sewing machine noise coming from the 2nd lifter from left to right using a scope. I tried turning a little tighter and looser but the noise is always the same. The knock sensor is picking it up with knock counts but not retarding the knock unless I give it a good rev. I'm running new comp 875 lifters and 1.6 self aligning rockers. You notice how the 5th & 6th rockers are flowing like a river? Is this normal or what?My oil PSI at idle is at 60 according the stock gauge. Any ideas???

thats cool...i've never seen a vid like that of these trucks. Makes me want some of those clear valvecovers. I would think the oil squirting all over the place is from the rocker not being seated fully against the pushrod....or your pushrod have a crack in it. What pushrods are you using? Did you get new ones when you installed the new rockers/lifters? I'd pull the '6th' pushrod and test it for leaks.

well try swappng the pushrods/lifters/rockers from the leaky ones w/ ones that don't leak...and see if the leak follows the parts.

What choice do I have wright?
You know what's funny is that I think the driver side does the same thing. In other words the the number 1 piston flows more than the rest.

Fawk! I'm going to have to pull the intake off and check everything out. I'll check back in a few hours after I replace the lifters with an extra set I have here for the typhoon build.:hang:

i'd just swap the rockers/pushrods first...make sure its not just one of those before ripping off the whole intake.

All of the pushrods the same size? Maybe see if that pushrod does the same thing in a different port?

yeah all the same size ordered directly from Comp in individual packs (cheaper). I'm too tired to work on it tonight. I'll check it out after work tomorrow. ;)

It is normal that cylinder #2 lifter flows a lot more oil then others. I adjusted my valve with the engine running and it look exactly the same. I had talk to myclone about this and he told me it was normal and he had seen the same thing.

I'll have to check it out on the typhoon as well. When I get it back and running to verify for sure.

Mic those pushrods. I've seen several instances where different length pushrods showed up in the same kit. Hopefully it's something simple.

Im always more concerned that they are all just flowing oil period. Are you sure you are adjusting them correctly? Im sure you know what youre doing just thought Ild ask just incase. You should get you some plugs for when you do that, it s nice and doesnt make a huge mess. What oil pump do you have, 60psi is an awful lot at idle, is that with the stock oil press gauge?
