new set up

have been sick for the last 2 weeks, really bad the last 2 days but i got a couple pics of the new setup i will get better ones today if there is not to much snow out back.

upgraded the turbo from a 72 to a 74 thanks erue went from a rpm a/a to a mpe front mount 4" core 3" alm polish pipes, razor julio alkey control duel nozzel kit "not yet installed", mpe ss headers with a huge 2 1/2" crossover "best welds i have ever seen looks like a work of art." and had to do braided oil lines to the remote filter since they sat on the crossover. might be a couple more secerts done to but can not tell yet since i have a couple races lined up plan is if i get better and install the alkey is to go to the dyno monday get some new tunning done and go with more then stock timing and 14psi more like 18-26psi and bump up the timing as needed maybe 4-5'. looking up up my rwhp numbers by 120-175 or so which i think should be possible. all still on pump gas 93. goal is 10 sec street ty on pump gas and if i want to go all out and break some stuff with c-16 and a great tune hit a 9. since i have the worest luck ever i will just shot for keeping the truck together for a bit.

got a couple more pics, entire truck and engine conpartment needs major cleaning it has been sitting for some time.

pipes still need a finishing on the polish from a couple mess ups with the grinder doing the alkey nozzels and around the welds but i needed it back to do the alkey install before monday. he was also out of 4" alm pipe for the cold air kit so i just got a steel one made for now not yet installed because i got a filter and thought it was 4" but it turrned out to be 3.5" so now i have to run to the store today and get a 4" one. always something.

I think the truck is going to be slowwwwww! Just kidding, with a little "Don Tuning" you'll have in piece in not time! Ha Ha. Seriously though I can't wait to take ride in that thing. Some awesome power right there. Keep the head gasket where they belong!

I wouldn't expect much info from Don-raist on the wheels except a thank you and don't get them. He's a little touchy about someone possibly having the same wheels as him.

sure does. must have been a good man to keep up a tahoe like that.

ty is in the snow z is in the snow and the gn is in the snow under cover because i got a 86 regal i am swapping my 84 t type drive line into and the other side has my buddy's 300ttz i am helping him "or more watching" put the motor in. the coverit is full with the t because of a rotten roof and the sonoma gt because no back window.

yeah and about the wheels i dont see them going anywhere any time soon. i have the stockers back on the z and boy are they ugly i forgot how ugly they are.

no i dont think the 700 to hold up more then 3-4 passes. i only plan to take it to the track to get 2 back to back 10sec runs then not run it at the track again till the nats if i still have it. and thanks

btw did i ever email you and let you know your headers went out last tuesday? i lost a couple of the bolts so i did not ship them with the headers. if you need a set and dont know where to get them let me know i may know a guy who has a extra set.

also just took the ty out for a couple mile trip boost is much to high almost 20 had to back out at 1/4 throttle and has a bad miss thinking plugs or wires just changed the plugs but with ac and i dont have good luck with bthem going to see if i can get some ngks tomorrow. although after being out today i am thinking i should have rested i am feeling it now, just had to get some miles on her.
