Ty+ Chrysler 300 C= OWNED!!!

last night a guy in a Chrysler 300 C blew by me about 90 and i got into the turbo and caught right up next to him and i messed with him for about a mile a little while down the road we catch a stop light together. I spool it up to about 7 psi and launch him lol we raced for about a half a mile and i was about 4 bus lenghs ahead of him. as i'm pulling off of the highway a guy on the passenger side hangs out the window and took a few pics of the ty i wish there was more people like that around that dont gett pissed when you bet em

there was a 300 @ the track a couple years ago and it was doing LOW 13'S....shocked the heck out of me!!!

havent had any of the dealership cars to the track but they feel fast, but 420 hp should.

Friend of a friend has a srt8 charger. he has a local club of 10-15 guys with srt8's. Some claim over 500hp. Of course they want to race me as soon as my truck is back together. I will be sure to bring my video camera!

All SRT's have 425 HP stock. Some are running SC and/or Nitrous . The 300C/ RT's (340 hp)run 14 - 14.5 stock in the quarter. Unless a sy/ty is highly modded they will never outrun a SRT above 90. My best time in the charger has been 13.12 @ 108 60 foot in 2.05. I still have to work on getting my 60 foot times down. Launching is not as easy as sy/ty. I think 12's are possible. I just added a cat back exhaust and headers are coming as soon as the weather improves.

I posted a race with one of these a while back. It was a 5.7L Hemi and I crushed him from a dig. He was cool though, he caught up to me at the next light, rolled down his window and gave me a "Nice Typhoon". His 300C was pretty damned nice looking too. Pearl black with chromed 20"+ wheels. Very nice to look at but not as quick as I had expected.

The SRT8's with the 6L Hemi are the ones to watch out for though.

I should be in the 11's with my build so I should be able to take most of them in the 1/4. My truck stock was able to take the "C" with no problem. We are looking at getting a charger srt next summer or a chalanger.

Newbie question....I see this all the time, why are our trucks stunted up high? Why dont we have top end? Is it gearing? We obviously have the hp and torque numbers so why do we fall off after 4k, 5k rpms?

the stock programming limits our trucks to 126mph, if you change to a performance chip you'll have more top end. is that what you were talking about?

also our stock engine build the most power at lower rpm's. Just the nature of the 4.3. The stock cams play a big part in that. The AWD robs some power too. When you start to see some serious builds on these trucks the high end lack of power is not so evident.

Also the aerodynamics of a brick wall come into play over 100mph. And they really just weren't designed for that type of racing, they're a stoplight to stoplight warrior.

x2, although these trucks are suprisingly stable and easy to control above 100.
