Saudi Syclone

EDIT: Actually maybe not. I think the Saudi model had temp in *C and other different measurements.

I have never seen one like that. The milage is pretty low too... Maybe someone replaced it way back when?? I dunno.

it is in a Syclone for sale here in the states that appears to have been first titled in the US in 1996 according to teh carfax...the guages seem to be in different measurements than the the saudi set up

Could have needed replacing, and they had that one laying around. But I'm not sure if it would bolt up...

What is the VIN #?

Looks like a base S10 cluster to me... got one sitting in my garage if anyone wants to go 'custom' :rotf:

Dunno if it is a bolt-in or not.... never been tempted to find out.

After more googleing it does appear to be a regular s-10 cluster, wonder why it is in a Syclone.

no boost guage, no tach ,no Intercooler water temp warning....... seems like a wacky
thing to do.

maybe someone trying to do a cheap repair?

how hard would it be to restore the factory cluster?

Re: Why does this Syclone have a different gauge cluster

Finding one will be the hard part, I'd just post up in the for sale area and keep a look out on ebay.

I would bet someone on this site has one though or knows where to get one.

I would have thought GM would have converted it back to MPH when they reimported them to the US. I looked into a Saudi one but I don't remember the dash exactly. Where is the ad for the truck? or what is the Truck number. Their is a list of the Saudi Vin's somewhere on the internet.

Re: Why does this Syclone have a different gauge cluster

Look at the bezel where it sits up on the dash. That whole bezel is not right. Syty bezel sits on top of the dash pad. That one is tucked in like a regular s-10. It may be a clone. Find the vin and the guys on here can tell you for sure. They will most likely be able to tell you all kinds of stuff. I think someone on here does free carfax searches for syty ONLY.

Re: Why does this Syclone have a different gauge cluster

well if its a clone, why would they put the seats, glovebox, console and all the other stuff in except the cluster?

SyTyless......for now!
Re: Why does this Syclone have a different gauge cluster

Seats are easy, console is easy, and glovebox is a sticker. Gauges clusters can be a PITA to get out

It has the same cluster as the Sauidi Sy on ebay right now.

Re: Why does this Syclone have a different gauge cluster

Except for metric vs SAE calibrations, as pointed out by hatrick8 previously. Seems like back in the day, GM or PAS, rather than go to the expense of getting metric Sy guages made for the export models, just dropped in the metric cluster used in the export S10.

if you have priced a 91 s-10 and a syclone it would be worth the hassel if ou can fool some unfortunate person

it would be worth checking
