I've been out of it for awhile. So sad to hear this. My best wishes go out to his family. He will be missed.

Re: Myclone is gone

Well today aint been easy. I tried going out of the house. I went to the grocery store, needless to say that didn't go well, when I realized I was only shopping for one. Trust me breaking down and crying in the isle of a public store makes people think you are nuts.
I also was able to bring Dave home today. You know my husband shouldn't be in an urn on my table beside a wedding picture. I loved him more than anyone will ever know. We made each other so happy. I still can't sleep, and food hasn't become my friend again yet. I miss him.

Lisa, if you need someone to talk to anytime feel free to let us know. We are here.

I only met you once last september when Robert was here from Sweden, at bowling green but I knew then how close the 2 of you ARE.

We are here for whatever we can do.

Re: Myclone is gone

I just logged on after being away since Feb 26. I can't remember ever logging on to find news like this. It has been a few years since I last saw Dave. It is just hard to accept that he is gone so premature.

It's hard to imagine what you've been through. I know how I feel after reading these posts for the last hour.

i too was out of town. this is sad news to return to.. i didnt know Dave as some of you did,but he was and will continue to be a big part of our community. reading all these post is a testament to his contribution as a syty'r,and all around beautiful human being...in the journey of life,he was truely on the righteous path.
rest in peace,brother.

it may not seem like much, but for me,when my father passed he wanted to be scattered at the a pond, where as a child he swam with all his brothers and sisters in the back woods of Kentucky. it was my honor to make that happen for him(after a lenghy struggle to recover his ashes).

maybe one last 11 second pass in an open vessel,at the nats would help you in some small way...
something to think about...

I've been trying to figure out what to post for a while and reading through all of the posts I'm not sure what else can be said here that hasn't. So please allow me to echo my deepest condolences for friends and family of this truly special human being. He was a bright star that stood out amongst the universe and you know what they say about the brightest stars. We can all only hope to be the kind of person that Dave was every day and I'm sure I speak for everyone here when I say that this is a real wake up call for me about how fragile life is and you don't always have tomorrow to help someone else out or let them know how you really feel about them. We've all heard the phrase 'Live each day like it's your last' but how many of us really know what that means? Please people, take this opportunity to hold the ones you love close and make sure they TRULY know how you feel.

RIP Dave... you will be missed.

I have not been on here in a few months and i am little shocked to read this thread. I dont know what to say but this quote comes the closest. I like others never had the pleasure to meet Myclone (Dave) but feel that I know him thru his posts. R.I.P.

I can only hope to be remembered like Myclone.....someday

Re: Myclone is gone

You know you could always call me. I hold my own pretty good in a car conversation. But trust me I haven't had his cell turned off because I still call and listen to his voice. I just want him back. I miss everything from the crooks in his toes, to picking the lint out of his belly button.

The days seem to get harder.

Re: Myclone is gone

Another guy who's been away for a while chiming in. Again, never met him in person but he was a great guy. I'm especially glad now that I had a friend make that first Myclone icon.

Every time I read one of his posts, I thought of this:
vmailpic.jpg

I came here to look something up and saw the RIP in Mike's signature, and got that same panicky disbelief that I'm sure everyone else did three months ago. And I only ever conversed with him via email and message boards. I just hope that when my time comes, people think this highly of me.

If anyone needs some humor and/or education, http://www.syty.net/forums/search.php?do=finduser&u=550 is a direct link.

My condolences,

You know, I was the first one to get that picture of Dave. We had been exchanging e-mails and phone calls. I miss him so much.

Re: Myclone is gone

Wow, I had been away from the SyTy scene for a while (my Ty was running fine, and I was spending most of the time modding and racing my diesel pickup). I noticed a "RIP myclone" in someone's signature and did a quick search, followed by a couple of hours of reading this and related threads. RIP Dave! I never met him in person, but I heard some great stories during SyTy gatherings when I lived in North Carolina. I always enjoyed his posts, and he seemed like one of the best people on the planet.

As I perused the forum over the past week, I was thinking about what happened to the people who used to post here all the time (like myclone). I figured they all just came up with other interests like I did. So sorry to hear of this.

Regards,
Michael Pliska
