you might also need to upgrade your alt to a 140amps or higher.

Not if you use one of the fan controllers. Such as the one from DCControl. Mustang guys use that same fan with 85 amp alternators all day long.

stock fox body alternators are junk and with an electric fan, radio playing and lights on the car will die at red lights lol. Most of the guys run the 94+ 130amp factory alternators.

DC Fan Controller is a good idea. Which fan controller model are most guys running on these trucks?

I never had any problems with running the Ford Taurus efan wired to be on all the time with any of my foxbodies... I also have my volvo fan wired up to a 40amp relay with 40 amp fuse to the ic pump harness to be controlled by the ecm.. but I put a switch inline so I can turn it off/on when i want

Thats not a bad deal for a brand new fan, just be sure to get rid of the factory control box and use your own, i use the stock ECM on my Ty with the factory IC pump wires, as mine already had the IC pump hotwired so they werent being used, but you will need to have a way to program your own chips, and then just go in and reset the IC pump tables. Works great, i have a 40amp fuse and a 50amp relay and i had a 140amp alt.

I used the FK35 on my old V8 Ranger with that fan. It worked great.

The big problem with real electric fans like the Volvo fan is the amp spike on fan start up. That's what kills alternators, relays, etc. The fan controller slowly ramps up voltage to the fan thus preventing the spikes that really tax stock electrics.
