How high to you rev?

I searched but didnt find much, Wondering how high you guys with built motors rev.

Ive got a BS block .030 over, eagle forged H beams, 21cc forged dished pistons, splayed center 4 bolt mains, balanced, comp 270ahr, 1.6 comp pro mags,1.6/2.02 ported vortec heads, billet single roller timing chain , 2114 MPFI, vortec Y-trim sc. Running 15lbs boost right now, going to 18lbs with 50-100 shot of nitrous, digital 6 w/ HVC2 coil.

Im using TCI's TCU for my 4l60e and playing with shift points. even set at 5700 it sounds and feels too soon for the motor. Im thinking 5900-6k shift point with a 6200 limit

I rev to 6k and that's pushing it IMO.

I go less than 6K - that's what my rev limiter is set to.

If it feels early make it later and see what happens. Most of us shift at 5k or lower Ild bet.

5900-6k w/ new build.... really depends where the engine like's to be reeved to...

5900-6k shifts...67-6800 @ long end of the track

Apparantly the bowtie blocks rev to 8k.

You put it on the dyno, see where it makes peak power and torque.

Figure your shift points from there.
