i have a 35k truck and am just wondering if you think i should put a new O2 sensor in. i have seen some cases were they can get worn out and cause fuel issues with newer cars.and i did not now if an after market sensor would eb more acurate.

if so who makes the best one.

thanks brandon

Re: O2 Sensor

I dont think it would matter what sensor as long as its in good working condition. I was told the sensors accuracy does decrease as they get old. I was also told that race fuel and some additives will shorten the life too. if its stock i might replace just to have a fresh start. You never know what the previous owner did. you running stock chip?

Re: O2 Sensor

i am running a stock chip but i think i want to go with one of the ultimate stock injectors and maybe put a adjustable regulator on it to prevent leaning out

what do you think

if you get a philip long chip you dont even need an o2 sensor
Ultimate too I thought. If its an open loop chip you dont need a o2 sensor. AFPR is a good idea for just about any truck. I need a working o2 for smog purposes.

Re: O2 Sensor

i did not know they were open loop so if i put the chip in it will never go into closed loop and it just uses the programed setting in the chip. just wondering this maybe on the technical side but what inputs does it use to adjust fuel injector pulse?

thanks for the input

and on the philip long chip are they just as good or better??and can you even still get them?
