hi to all, started visiting this site before i got my ty. today was the first day that i am a member. feels good. this is an excellent site. bought the ty off of ebay in october from eastern motors. drove a rental out to ohio to pick up truck from new york.truck was everything dealer said it was. drove back to new york wit no problems except for getting stopped for speeding in ohio (no tickee) and then ran into a snowstorm around buffalo n y . only mods that i've done so far is to stick a big kn on turbo. turned battery sideways and had to cut the tray some. filter is under the tray. the intercooler pump has stopped working, can't go ful throttle now due to knock. bought a shurflo pump but had a mishap and had to order parts for the pump which they are sending for free(parts and shipping).great company. i love this truck and have wanted one for a long time. this is only the third one that i have ever seen. ther is a ty for sale on want ad digest.com that is only 20 minutes from me . if anyone is interested i can go check it out. i am new to tys but was a mechanic for 18 years. i have a 87 we4 turbo buick that is running 11s. it was stock when i bought it and only i have laid hands on it. saw some buick guys on here, my handle on turbobuick is we4 warrior. i love gm muscle especially when there is a turbo hanging off it. hp & tq to all.

ty is all black, interior and exterior. all leather on inside with overhead console.console has three compartments and lights. seats are in great condition. map lights on the rear view mirror. two visors on each side. with an extension that pulls out of one. ty lettering is black(might have to change that to red). gmc in grill was black, i outlined it in red. has stock wheels with goodyear 245/50 r16. truck rides nice now but the front shocks are leaking. will replace all shocks after doing some searching on site.paint shines like crazy. at night time when the light hits it, looks like a black mirror. there are four spots on truck where someone touched up some rust bubbles. also has a rear spoiler.

Congrats on the purchase sounds like a nice truck. Where are you located in new york? There are a few of us in Westchester county. Im located in the ossining area. :tup:

new paltz = hippie central

my ex went to college there, i visited quite a few times.. the hippie over liberal bs got kind of annoying.

:rotf: I know. I don't get "political" up there. And much of the hippie element is gone in the summer. Besides, I spend most of my time in the Gunks (Shawangunk Mountains) and Mohonk Preserve. :tup:

yeah i'm 20 minutes from new paltz. not very many hippies though. great party town . there is a state university there. joes east west(dance club) has been there for more than 3o years was once in playboy mag listed as 1 of 10 best pickup spots. j bonehead still trying to figure out how to read pm i'm kinda stupid with this computer stuff and my computers for dummies book hasn't helped much. thanks to all for the big welcome. the hiking ,bird watching and night life in new paltz is pretty sweet. college chics, hubba bubba better use a rubba.

Too bad the Griffin is gone. Nothing use to beat $1.50 Sammy Cherry Wheat pint night back in the '90's.

yeah the griffin was wild, always packed. remember the sanctuary up the little alleyway. old times are not forgotten.

my nightlife experiences there sucked.. remember i was with my gf whenever i was there..
all the girls there (her friend and her) were very much into free love though.
