what is the going rate for vortec heads? complete and ready to go perfectly clean from a 98 jimmy? thanks guys any one else have an idea whats the going rate?

I believe Jwaller does around a $500 stock vortec head assembly ready to bolt on , and RPM sells a max port race ready built set for around $2500 . The intake modifications are extra in both cases .

I depends on the rest of your build whether you you "NEED" one over the other .

If you talking about a set of take off heads with OEM parts, they are probably worth $150. You can buy new bare Vortec for $200.
