Be kinda neat to have tunerpro running on this while you program the ecm.

Re: In dash PC

That's it. It's in it. It is a completely self contained PC. I'd personally get a keyboard and mouse for it(I'm not into the touch screen stuff), but it would fit right where the radio would be, can play MP3, etc. The only thing is that it doesn't have a DVD/CD rom drive. Kinda sucks to have to buy one of those externally. I guess that was the trade off, to have the monitor, they had to give up the space for the DVD player. I'm gonna look some more. I bet someone's made a double din head unit that is full function with monitor AND DVD/CD rom built in.

Re: In dash PC

Thats cool. I would get one but I have to still pay someone the rest of the money for my 5k trans conversion.

Nope, that's just a monitor with touchscreen capability. Now if you combined that with a voompc mini-itx case w ~1ghz processor along with a humongo 3.5 hard drive for music/video and you have one killer machine.

BTW I'll post pics of mine here in about a month when it gets up and running.

Re: In dash PC

Please do.
I've looked at everything from using an old pc on liquid filled mounts to the indash deals so I can play DVD, CD-R, MP3, etc.As well as use it as a map, navigator, tune my ECM and my trans controller.

I just found this article. I'll be using this for a monitor. I can't believe it's this easy.
