How dose every one that go's to the track drive there trucks? do you keep it in drive or drive it manual?

i usually run through the gears, but the last few times i have done that i have hit the rev limiter and killed my et. i need a shift light :roll:

Drive until it hit's 3rd,then bump it up to OD.

What are you asking? To the track or at the track? I drive the SY easy to the track, light on the brakes and light on the gas. As for 1/4 mile runs, I start off in D (not overdrive), launch, click the switch to manually lock converter, then keep it to the floor. I watch my RPM's and if I think it is going to be close, I will go to OD. Hope that helps you out!

FWIW the converter wont lock in 1st so you can turn the lock up switch on before you even launch. It wont lock until you hit 2nd...just FYI that you dont have to fool with the switch while trying to race.
