Final thoughts on shocks?

Decided not to go the AirRide Tech route (fabrication costs would land me in divorce court) so I am looking to get the best possible ride. I am pretty sure I am going to remove the stock rear leveling components (again crazy replacement costs and I don't think mine is working anymore any how). Not to beat a dead horse but what should my angle of attack be?

Re: Final thoughts on shocks?

many typhoon owners remove the air leveling system in favor of kyb monomax shocks.. I believe the part numbers are front KYB565048 and rear KYB565047

I used KYB's, the regular white ones. After the install I think the rear air shocks must add some load capacity as the rear feels a little soft sometimes. Other than that it rides fine.

Re: Final thoughts on shocks?

i have them on a 92 legend. what i like about them is that you can choose your height. or if you do what i did and put a crazy system in and the ass drops you can use the coilovers and dring it up back to where you want it

They both sell coilovers shocks that work with the leaf springs. The only true rear coilovers sold for truck are discontinued. PEP and Dunstan. The rest of the coilovers are one offs.
