Bad knock killed me against a modded350Z

Last night I met up with some friends, This guy that was there wanted to run anyone. He just got his 06 350Z back from the performance shop and was talking $h!T. So we go to a place that we have marked off for a 1/4 mile.
I set my Ultimate for 2-18 and do a 7lb launch and rip him a new A$$ :tup: put 3 car on him off the line. I was seeing the the finish but at 80ish i get slapped with a hard knock :rant: and had no power for what felt like for ever and he ran me down.. :tdown:

I know this is my fault for running with a truck that has not been tuned, dam i am a dumb a$$ but i had to do it. The guy's jaw had hit the ground because the launch i had on him.
And said he would not run me when i do have the knock problem under control. He told me to pick on some of the high power LS2 around here and stop being a bully.

I feel ya. I was actually trying to race an LS1 Camaro like mine. It was from a low speed roll unfortunately but he ended up blowing his tires away and I got away quick. He was already starting to pull me but as soon as I shifted into third I got pretty nasty knock and he FLEW by me. I mean I knew I didn't stand a chance as the speeds got higher, but I would've held him off longer if that didn't happen. I was bummed and vowed to keep my truck ready as much as possible. Sorry about your death man but I know how it goes.

BTW, LS2=C6 Vette. Not to be taken lightly.

These trucks are very picky and lots of people have still had knock trouble with the Ultimate. That's why a lot of people are starting to do their own custom tuning. Plus he was on the 18psi setting. There was no mention of him using the meth inj so he was fighting an uphill battle.

What happens when you put it on T1 18?

not as bad but still happens when it goes to shift between 3rd&4th, but i spent saturday with gary shan and he helpped me with a quick tune up. i was running lean i guess my auto meter gauge is off abit. i am going to run a mechanical guage on the rail to help a bit. but adding 10 more lb got ride of all of the knock

and also trailblazer SS, GTO...although not nearly as fast as the vette
