Jeremy and I went for a few runs with Brandon and Steven in our trucks. Mine was not shifting corecty and even with Jeremys bad converter he was still able to pull on me hard. I felt bad getting killed like that. A few times I had to let off because I felt my trans not shift. Even with a good shift his truck would kill mine. thing is fast. We did a boost launch and he took me out of the hole by 2 lenths by the time we hit 40mph. Not sure how hard he launched. I was at 6lbs. If he has a 12 second truck then I have a lot of work ahead of me. Now I am scared My trans it toast.

He has a slipping converter. My trans was slipping bad. it had a long delay between shifts. He look to be faster then 12.7. I would say mid-low 12s. He was running 4 lbs more boost then me. looks like I wont make it for wednesday. I think its the TV cable.(I hope thats it) the trans only has 3-4k on it. if he is only doing 12.7 then I was in the mid 13's. The last few runs I let off because My trans was slipping bad. I thought it was the lag due to spraying to much but I turned the alky off one run and it still did it. thenI knew something was up.

Dang, that sucks. If it's not the TV cable, your trans should still be covered under warranty right?

Not sure but its 2 years old. I taked to George on this forum(think thats his name) Hopefully he can get me one. Hard to get them I guess. Trans fluid looks normal and smells ok. I will pull the drain plug and remote filter and look for peices tomorow.
pan has a leak anyways. It was fun to run against another SY. People must have thought it was weird to see 2 black trucks racing. We kept the speed down. We mostly did 0-60 or 70 runs and a few rolling start runs.

last night my wifes neon could have killed me. Yesterday morning I notice something was up. When I made a u-turn to Stevens house I gave it gas and the car reved to 5200rpm and I stood still. I have it on the DM. At that time I thought it just did not downshift. First time it did that. Under part throttle it feels faster he WOT because it does not lag. Sucks. If the TV cable does not fix it I will pull the trans and put in a 4l80E.

Wow, yeah that's the tranny. I highly doubt the TV cable will fix that. Actually it sounds like just the torque converter if it was revving to 5300 rpm and you weren't moving. :dunno:

could be a convertor. maybe you should get a higher stall like the one jeremy is getting. your truck is getting there gary. jeremy's sy really felt strong like my typhoon was when it was running a year ago, when it ran a 12.6.

The TV cable is not clicking like it should. It clicks once the pops1/2 into place. I read somewhere thats bad and My trans pressure is off. If it is the TC, Yes I will get a 2800 stall. if its the trans, I will get a 4l80e. Screw rebuilding a trans that goes out in 4k miles.

I know, I know, i've been looking at them for a while I am hoping to change mine before it breaks but we will see. You it's kinda crazy how these things hold up, to the best of my knowledge my tranny has 111K on it and never been changed and I was beating the crap out of it earlier this summer and never have had one problem, yet!! One day I got the track ( this was before I new better ) and there was no one there so they let me run by myself over and over, I must have ran like 10 times in 20-30 minutes, boost launching everytime and never had a problem, I got way too lucky on that day.
