What a pain in the ass having this guy bid on everything. We cant get a decent part cause this !#&* head is buying everything up. He must be a collector cause he is bidding on some nice trucks that dont need any work.

he might be the only one with enough money to buy all of my spare parts

Man, you must be in the boonies :). For starters, let's go to the top.....ever heard of Forbes 500? The world is replete with folks who could buy you out. To them it would be pocket change. Customrestor is just crazy enough to be spending his $$$ on SyTy vehicles and parts.

You guys are all creating too much of a scene for what it should be. I've been around long enough to hear most everyone on here say the words "need to sell, must go now best offer" on trucks and parts.

Now, all I hear is "whaaa---customrestore is buying up all our parts for a lot of money".

Welcome to reality. Want something bad enough? you're going to have to pay for it. At this rate, the trucks will go up in value....so deal with it.

Well Stated......If you have the money beat him at his own game. Outbid him.

Re: ebay customrestore

Dunno guys but Ive got a theory to three....

Theory #1
Customrestore is a car guy that happens to like sytys and he may even own one but in the past hasnt had the cash to do what he wants with it then along comes a winning lottery ticket or his rich uncle croaked leaving him with tons of cashola to spend. So now he's spending his newly found wealth on his favorite vehicle. Id do the same although there would be more than just sytys on my shopping list ;) .

Theory #2
Customrestore owns a shop of some type (resto shop, body shop, mechanics shop, etc) and is a syty fan but also buys parts for customers cars. Look at his past auctions he's won...along with some odd ball non car stuff he's bought the non syty auto parts are what a shop might need to finish a repair or restoration on a customers car. I'll give him props he's obviously got some deep pockets.

Theory #3
Customrestore has always been loaded but he just found out he's got 6 months or a year to live. He cant take his money with him (least last time I checked you couldnt) so he's spending it like theres no tomorrow...which could actually be the case for him.

Theory #4
Customrestore is loaded and getting a divorce....what better way to piss off the soon to be ex than to spend all the cashola that she thinks shes going to get on car parts? Kinda tough to spend car parts on the latest fashions or diamonds and maybe he's well aware of the fact she has no clue how to turn the parts back into any amount of cash resembling what he spent. Pretty sneaky if you ask me....I like the guy already (then again Im not trying to out bid him either  ).

Theory #5
Customrestore is actually some rich guys son/grand son and since he's a spoiled little twit with nothing better to do than spend money and he remembers hearing about a syty trouncing his father/grandfathers ferrari a while back so he's buying all the stuff up just to get back at the syty community for having one of those "gawdawful hot rod trucks" slaughter some wine and cheese crowds exotic. Far fetched? Maybe but rich ppl can be a strange bunch some times (look up Howard Hughes, Micheal Jackson, etc sometime....dont take my word for it).

Re: ebay customrestore

Heck if can can do it with street rod parts(buying and selling) them ,why can't he do it with sy/ty stuff. There's money to be made in car/truck parts. It's also a cash business so no tax to be paid. If he can make a few grand a year or more why the heck not.I'm also sure he's been to this site, because he's on e-bay and there's guys who put this site in their listings.Just my .02 cents though.

Re: ebay customrestore

Take a gander at his feedback (which is beginning to take a dive south). Looks like he is a gambler whose passion has exceeded his wallet depth and the failed transactions are starting to catch up to him.

I think it'd be this one. He's buying stuff besides syty's
