13.000 @ 103.48

Will post the slip tomorrow. Short times are nothing to write home about but I had to laugh, still no 12 sec pass. This with a broken motor mount. (Which I discovered at the track tonight.) Hope to have a temp tie-down in place for next week.

when you change the mounts are you going to poly mounts? i've got some for cheap if you want them.

i bet if you had a good 60ft you would have run a 12.8. 103mph is good trap speed.

Tie down engine = 12.8 or better.
Your MPH is there ,I can tell you are not launching hard,or your spinning?

Great job Don :tup: !!!! Hold up a little your getting away from me :rotf: Yeah I heard the same about the solid mounts netting you a extra .1-.2 just becasue of lack of movement. I'm putting in the solid mounts next. Sooo close Don, you can't get any closer than that, you're probably one of the few who can feel the Hoover's pain of being right on the edge and having to go home. Don't worry buddy you'll get it next time, then I 'll really have to step it up :tup:

Here's a vid of a run last night but not the quick one. The second tire noise is me and you can just hear some 2nd gear meat as well. Don't know who took it, a racer friend sent me the link. This run was 13.384 @ 92.63 you can see me on the brakes.

Don...so close. Fix the mount and get your 12's. LMK what you come up with for a tie down. I have to do that too. Pics of what you come up with please. Good luck.

sounds like your exhaust is too quiet. & that = 13.00 or slower :tdown: , for a turbo truck, get the hint?

Oh ya, 3" DP on order, I have the 3" high flow cat, planing on RPM's muf and tail pipe. Racing on a budget this year kept it this way but things improved a bit recently prompting the order of the DP.

Two things were different last week: I threw in a gallon of 116 (leaded) and I tried shifting into OD near 1000' both seemed to help. I think that's where the 103 came from because the short times on that slip are relatively poor.

Glad to hear your getting an exhaust system. :tup: That should really help!
It seems our engines (stock here) make the most torque around 3000-3100 RPM, so if you short shift it ,the torque will push it through for good MPH!!!

Ovbiously, your almost to the 12's. My local track is slippery. At that track I ran 12.9 with 103 mph trap speeds in the upper 1.80's. With 1.8 and 102 Trap speed, I run 12.9 as well. I know if I could get high 1.7's with 103 trap it would run 12.8's, may even squeak out a 12.799.

how much longer is the track open? Now that work is slowing down I might head up for a run. I want to get my first time slip
