swaping to a nonbs block

hey guys i got a 2002 4.3L blazer 4l60e- i just finsihed my custom rearmount turbo set-up came out EXCELLENT but this bs block aint worth building IMO

im getting a 1991 non bs block- will be putting L30 heads on it with a custom MPFI forged bottom end and cryo'd crank with 4-bolt mains- i will be running megasquirt II with a th400-

my question is-

can i use products from Raceprovenmotors.com or can i use the same part yall use in my block? nonbs 4.3L is a nonbs 4.3L correct?

HOW STRONG IS THE STOCK CRANK WHEN NITRIDE COATED? would i be better off cryo'ing?

my goal is 550whp on pump gas and 620 to 630whp on methanol

all non balance shaft blocks are the same. (except syty block that have nodular main cap)


I hope you have a big rear mount turbo if you want to make 550 whp on pump gas.

its not gonna be a rearmount when i swap in the new motor- front mount GT35R
