Ignition Module thought

Is there anything scentifiic to keep the IGN MOD under the dist cap? I know the p/u coil wire is there but other than that, is there anything to stop me from moving it elsewhere?

the module uses the distributor housing as a heat sink to keep it cool
there's heat conductive paste on the bottom of the module

I know about the paste but I cant imagine its any cooler under the cap.

i wouldn't think it would hurt to move it.

Somebody used to have kits that relocate it to you firewall. MSD? maybe??

Mine is mounted on the firewall on a piece of aluminum.

How do you like it there? Im thinking quick changing capabilities personally. Though it goes out every 6 months or so and it s not an incredibly hard job I just thought it would be nice to change it a little faster. Got any pics?
