IF YOU HAVE A 1/4 tank or less DO NOT GET ON IT HARD, as major engine damage will follow.

Re: another newby

computer is behind glove box. you have to take the passanger kickpanel and dash undercover off to get to it. One 6mm screw holds it up there. its a pain to get it out and back in sometimes. There should be an access door on the ecu. the chip is behind it. as long as its not a KB chip you should be ok.

Re: another newby

first check all the vac. lines. You could make the wastegate rod longer to give less boost I think. I know theres a set point out rods should be at but I cant remember right now. do a search on "overboost" and do some reading.

Here's a quick way to check if your wastegate is sticking shut.Disconnect the rod from the flapper and see it you can move the flapper easily. If not,you need to free it up.
use some high temp grease on it.Do a search for wastegate rod adjustment to make sure it is the right length.

Re: another newby

coud be worse. I am seeing 26lbs of boost right now!! The best thing to do is to remove the inner fender. and check the rod like the guys said. Is the cat still on the truck.?
what the # on the pitbull chip. should say sy137a or something like that. That will tell the type of chip it is. Most pitbull chips are mild and do minor changes.

Re: another newby

flowmasters use baffles to change the sound of the exhaust. The baffles cause back pressure. you want a good flowing exhaust. The funny thing is a better flowing exhaust is more prone to overboost.
