I just picked up my sy and i have a few questions. What should the fuel pressure be? Does it use the same oxygen sensor as a regular 4.3? What spark plugs should i use in it? I am giving it a good tune up and would like to know what to check or look for. It has an adjustable fuel pressure reg and that's all i can tell under the hood that's not stock, any help would be great. :tup:

Fuel pressure depends on what chip and injectors you have> Generally stockish or 50's run 40-45 psi.
The oxygen sensor is not standard S-10.It's a 3-wire preheated sensor,should run you around $50 at Auto World,so if they try to give you the $19 one,it's not the correct one.

I wonder about what you guys do to your trucks sometimes...
I got Autolite 8mm wires, Autolite Platinum Plugs and a Borg-Warner cap and rotor (all from Schucks) and they have performed flawlessly for over a year and a half. I have a small stumble at idle, but it's nothing worth complaining about.
I checked the plugs about a month ago and they were barely discolored and the gap was still where I had set it at.
How do you guys chew up so much ignition stuff??

I don't know, but my truck eats cap/rotor sets like a dog eats his own shit.

The local gm dealer says the pcv valve for my truck has been discontinued, whats another part# i can use or would one from nappa be just as good? Are the special for our trucks? also..... my truck has "ricer" tail lights. I got a set from the local wrecker from a jimmy but they don't seem to fit, are the pickup lights different?
