When you 1st turn your key to the start position, you should hear your pump run. If you don't you have a bad pump. If you do you may have a bad fuel filter. If it turn out to be the pump, replace both the pump and fuel filter. DO NOT REMOVE AFPR TO TEST SYSTEM. On the driver side there is a fitting to test press at . Look at the fuel rail near the Alt.

Re: No fuel preasure!!!!

When you turn the key on you should hear the Pump if you don't hear it 9 out of 10 times it went south on you. If you replace the pump always replace the fuel filter as well. You can get a pump from http://www.raceprovenmotors.com or any of the other vendors on this site.

No it not normal to go bad in 6 months. Did you turn the key to the on position to see if it's running?

Re: No fuel preasure!!!!

yeah i read that i should swap it with the ac relay, no good

I dropped the tank and found the walbro with the thing you guys recomned to remove still on it i tested the pump and its good. i replaced the thing with a gas line and put the pump back in. but no power. i ran my own relay setup with 10g cable , ralay and fuse and it is pumping but now i only get 20 psi of gas and no more, when i give it gas the gauge doesnt move.. now i think i need to replace the filter right. i also was goofing with the vacum lines maybe i f'd fomething up.

Re: No fuel preasure!!!!

Okay as many you have read I have had some fuel issues; here is my list and what I have read from many other threads

1.on my drive home from CA I had the truck stall due to the AFPR getting heat soaked and slowly loose pressure and then it locks up not letting any fuel thru. // Temp Solution poor cold water on it or wait for it to cool off. Then do not drive with A/C on thru the desert at 90mph // Perm Solution relocate the AFPR or get a to an intercooler that wont heat soak the AFPR like the stock one does.

2. A mile or so away from home the Fuel pressure just dies. Can’t hear the Fuel pump.
What to check first before paying for towing.
///Check the ECM B fuse, it is listed on the fuse block, bottom row first on the left. The fuse box is under the dash on the left hand side. If it's good do the following. Test the Fuel Pump relay, lift the hood and look on the drivers side fire wall above the brake booster to the left there is 2 relays on a bracket. Take the A/C and FP relays and swap them. If that doesn’t work go ahead and get a tow.

If you think you can add to this please do so, it would be good to have a starting point
