Just wanted to let anyone that doesn't already know that Don W. is a real cool guy with a pretty quick truck. He let me use his helmet at Infineon last night for a couple passes which kept me from having to go home early. Cool to have him in the community out here in the bay. :thumbsup:

Darn close but still no 12 sec run, last night was a good night though. Decent temps and not usual 400 mph headwind.

All 60's were between 1.784 and 1.835. No excuses but part of the prob there is getting all the way around the water box without picking up some water. Very irritating.

all within 1 mph of 100.

anything over about 5# at launch she starts turnin' the rear tires. Soon as I do the brake mod I think I'll be there. Trying to join the 12 sec club with build you see. Do all my own tuning since I've yet to find anyone up here who I can trust. Kinda like the blind leading the blind. But I'm having fun.

Don is a great guy. He touched my truck and it ran better.LOL I cant wait till I have this thing back together so I can head up there and run. I am still waiting on my turbo. just realized I will need a helmet too. You running 100oct Don?? Upgrade your brakes and you might be in the 12's. I Will be putting in the f-body kit this weekend from CBR. It looks good.

Nope, not now. Was using 100 actually till a couple of weeks ago. The cost of 100 at Infineon has gone through the roof so I've done two things. Retarded the spark 2-3 degrees and switched to 96. 4-5 gals of 96 on top of a 1/2 tank of 91. This week I had less knock on the 96 mix with retarded timing than I did with -0- timing and 100. What this tells me is that the dampener may be slipped a bit. (Yes I've checked it with a piston stop but 2-3 degrees is difficult to see without a degree wheel.) Trying to fit the brakes in the budget, but maybe this week since no racing. Hmmm.

who makes a good cheap helmet?? I hope to be up there end of sept. sometime. LMK what dates you will be there around that time. I need someone to show me the ropes as this will bethe first time at a real track. Thanks.

Got mine here. Good price and excellent cust service. (They accidentally sent the wrong size. Sent the correct one overnight and picked up the incorrect one.)

Don your pretty close here's a couple things you might try if you havent already.Super 104 plus octane boost (black bottle), when i used 100 octane unleaded gas this stuff worked every time , I would drive to the track trying to be between 1/2 to 1/4 full and then add 1 full bottle. Usually good for 1 tenth, a second bottle would actually pick up another tenth! the only problem(?) is your tailpipe will turn orange from the antiknock additive. Also a convertor lockup switch might help, usually good for up to 2 tenths. good luck!

Interesting, haven't tried 104 but will. Brake mod is coming.
