I'll email this info out on the MHST list too.

When: Sunday, August 13, 2006 - Start time: Hopefully 10:00am or 11:00am-ish. Got a manifold swap to get done in a day.

Where: T Jay's House - Greeley CO - PM or email for address/directions

What For: Wrenching on trucks - Planning Nats caravan? - Eating burgers, etc. etc.

What to bring: Your truck if you can, something to drink (my wife and I will provide food), possibly tools ( I don't have a ton), um... yeah. That should do it.

Anyone is welcome, SyTy or no SyTy. Come help my ugly truck get back on the road. :rotf:

I am so there! I will bring my tools, some beer (if thats ok) and whatever else I can think of. Manifold swap shouldnt be too bad to do with common hand tools. Count me in. I will need directions tho. My car has enough room if someone wants to go but cant drive for whatever reason I might be able to take you if its on the way to TJays

Tools will be good. I should have everything I need, but it's always good to have a backup.

When send out the MHST List email, I'll add directions and probably a map.

Aaron and I are swapping Intake/Upper IC's too. His are powdercoated white, which should look good with my truck.

Oh, and Beer is okay. Whatever you want to bring to drink is fine by me.

Sweet! A white Intake and IC would look sweet on your truck for sure. I am looking forward to this.

I'm looking forward to it too. I've had the manifold for over two years. It's time to get that sucker on. It will also be good to have the turbo out and give it a good inspection. I think I've got a few damaged impeller blades. :(

Whatever the case, it's always good to turn some wrenches... especially when there's people who know what they are doing.

We're still on for Sunday! Hope to see at least one other brick in my driveway. :rotf: And no, my Typhoon and my Volvo don't count.

Brats and burgers provided by me, bring you're own beverage unless you're fine with water and/or soda.

looking forward to it!

Re: PreNats MHST Wrencher

I will be there! I wouldn't miss the chance to get rid of this intake finally!!! White and black just don't match on the Sy...

Do I need to bring over a good turbo as well???

Okay, so on the bring just in case list is... intake and intercooler, oven mits, both exhaust manifolds, stock turbo, typhoon fuel rail, AFPR, ostrich, laptop with tunerpro.... What else??? Darn, the Porsche is gonna be packed!!! J/K :)

Any chance that someone could contact Danny Cheatam and ask him to come up? He is the local chip guru! Maybe we could even convince someone to send him the new $59 code to try.

I just wish that I could have made Nat's this year. I knew I should have told the 356 Porsche club that I could not be the president for another year. Oh well, I will be relaxing in Snowmass and Steamboat for the whole week... When are we going to get a Nationals here in Colorado? It would be fun to see how many trucks would struggle to run fast up here. But I think that the best part would be when everyone would be sloppy drunk after just a few drinks!

Do you have a good stock turbo? Man, I'll owe you my soul after this weekend. :rotf: I think mine has some dinged blades, but I won't know till I get it out. I've already got the manifold replacements - just swapping pass side anyway  Yes, my truck needs an AFPR too... and the list goes on... And me without money! This sounds like more than a day's work. I need to keep removing stuff this week so all we have to do is reassemble.

I'd be all for a Colorado Nats too. That would be awesome! What's another days drive from KC  Looking forward to it!

Re: PreNats MHST Wrencher

Of course I have a spare stock turbo. I have enough spare parts to build a second syclone. All I need is a donor S-10 body and cladding. The rest is either in my basement or my garage. Do you need a spare tranny and transfre case? I keep tripping over that one. It is too big to fit on the shelf. I guess if I seperated them maybe....

The next thing that I have been looking for is the 4L80E...

Sheesh. I'll just go shopping in your garage! haha. I probably need the tranny too, but again, won't know until the truck is back and running. Last time i drove it, when you let off the gas in drive, the rpms revved like the trans was freewheeling in neutral. May just need a flush/filter, but it wouldn't suprise me if it was fried.

I've been meaning to get to the junkyard and try to find a Jeep Cherokee steering shaft. My truck has about 2 inches of play in the steering. Some of it is control arm bushings, which I have to put in, but the rest I think, is in the steering shaft.

My truck gave me 4 good years of worry free service... Doesn't that mean it's time for everything to break at once?

Re: PreNats MHST Wrencher

There is supposedly a great yard just east of the water plant in Greeley. I need to add that to my list of stuff that I look for each time I hit the yard!

And great something else to add to the list... Control arm bushings... Are the enery suspension mounts ok??? What about the sway bar do you need those as well?

It sounds like you just need to sign the title over right now!!! HA HA

on the plus side you have an e85 station in town. It's still 1.99 there! It would be interesting to get your truck running on that good stuff! Then I could sell you my 40lb injectors and we could play with the new code once it comes out!

Do you need a pen??? LOL

Yeah, Andersen's U Pull-it is on 8th Street just a little east of Hwy 85. It's got some good stuff. Just recently got seat belts and a glove box hinge for my dads truck that I'm borrowing while the Ty is down.

Don't worry about the Control Arm bushings... I've got those already too.

Here's what I have:

Exhaust Manifolds
Poly Control Arm Bushings
Broken Typhoon.
I bought my truck with an Addco...Atco?(can't ever remember the brand) Sway bar installed, and I think the bushings on it are okay.

The rest is what I need to get. :rotf: Like I said... Do you take payments? Need a website designed or a corporate identity package put together? :rotf:

My Typhoon is just ready for everything really. But what 14 year old GM product isn't? :rotf:

All I want to accomplish this weekend is the intake/ic swap, manifold swap, and get my truck back on the road to see if i need a new trans.

After that, I'll figure out where to go next. E85 and a custom Cheatham tune sound like a good place to start, but like I said, I need a running truck first.

EDIT: I guess I should mention that ultimately, I'm looking for a great running, mostly stock Typhoon. I don't race it, and I just like driving it. Hopefully I'll get it back to being my daily driver.

The more the merrier! Enough people and we'll get my truck done in no time. :rotf: You don't, by chance, have a torque wrench do you? I still haven't been able to get one and probably can't get one till after Nats when I have money again.

Nice! Think he'd let me take pictures of it as long as I don't post them on SyTy.net? :rotf:

He's around on the MHST mailing list. He'd love to make Nats, but it's not very feasable... That whole "being in China" and all. You gonna make it down?

Re: PreNats MHST Wrencher

While I'm thinking about it, anyone who's coming on Sunday have a 5/8" unibit or hole saw? I've got a water temp sensor and trans temp sensor I need to get through the firewall so I can get my autometers hooked up... well, the H2O temp anyway. have other things before I do the trans temp. Imagine that huh? Me with things to do to my ty  :rotf:
