Flexforms vs. stock sy leafs FYI

Syclone#2960

What ever it takes!!
I weighed the stock leafs on the syclone @ 62lbs/ set.
Flexforms are 20lbs/set.
You save about 42lbs. total.;)

I wrapped the mounting pad area with rubber/ splicing tape to help protect from the U bolts.

Torqued the nuts to 50ft/lbs. with low mileage Bilstein shocks.

caltracs will greatly extend the life of the flexoforms.

With the Caltracs,,,dosen't a part of the Caltrac actually hit the leafspring, during acceleration?

Wouldn't that cause a stress point where it hits?

Or am I thinking incorrectly?

it does come in contact with the forward part of the spring near the front mount. I normally wrap it with a piece of hose to soften this. it is far better than letting the flex o forms wrap up during a hard launch.

$432 shipped.

864-261-7006 ask for Mark. ask for the 250lbs. rating springs. It will take about 4 weeks to get them. ( for me anyway).

Is Mark w/flexiform? Web link?

250 LB for a Syclone? I would like a 2" drop from stock height.
Thanks:tup:

Yes...Tell him you want the same springs Bruce just ordered.

250lbs is the strongest he makes/suggests...why take a chance on ordering a weaker rating?

BTW Tell Mark he needs to install a 2" bolt instead of the 1-3/4" bolt. So we can install the stock wedge back with the plastic shim. I had to go and buy new bolts to make them fit.
