Re: engine Knock

OK, I got the MAP SENSOR part out, but there is no part number on it. Where I have seen others that have the part number near where the nipple is for the vacuum, there is no part number, however, the vacuum tube was disintegrated. On the opposite side than the nipple side, it has the numbers 466 in teh plastic, and where the connector is, it has the numbers 749 9246. Any hints out there? I cant tell if this is a 2 bar or 3 bar

EDIT: Ok, On the Map Sensor, it has the numbers
PBT-GF30
9576-2

From the previous link: "3 bar MAP=749 or 861. The 4 digit number to the right refers to the date of manufacture "1100"= 2001, 100th day of the year."

Looks like you've got a 3 bar. :)

Damn, I wasn't even thinking in that location, I was looking at part numbers. Do these items go bad?

Re: engine Knock

I would Imagine this may be the problem other than the sensor itself.

I fixed it (Vacuum), and I think it fixed the problem. I am buying a vacuum kit next week, and fixing everything, but it will have to wait until the Spring time for the next run.
