Wire ID

Need some help identifying this wire:

It connects to a wire that runs under the carpeting that I haven't ran down, yet. Looked at a few wiring schematics, but with the unusual splice it has (into the crossover for the door window and lock harness) I cannot match it to one.

I did notice that the White it has been spliced into a connector that on my newer harness has two Whites on it, and that the Orange/ White is not even present on it.

Wondering if this is 'normal' for the Sy's and what it runs to and if I am going to have to open the newer harness to make this adjustment, or if it shouldn't be there and what it's supposed to be connected to.

Thanks in advance.

Yes I drive a Typhoon.
Re: Wire ID

Hooks to the seat belt? For the buckle up light?

You said its located under the carpet?

Re: Wire ID

Speaker harness goes up and over the pillar to cross to the rear of the cab, doesn't it? It'd have no buisiness connecting into the crossover for the doors.

It does hook into a line that does go under the carpeting, and the seatbelt light kinda makes sense...but then why would it hook into this harness. I may have found the reason the truck shorts when rolling up the passenger window from the driver's side.

Would anyone have the diagram for the seatbelt idiot light? This thing may have been tinkered with.

Re: Wire ID

Dome light...now that makes some sense and after looking at the diagrams it does tie into the door jamb switches, and does use Orange/ White.

Now to figure out why the new harness does not match up. Do '92's route the wires for the Dome light differently?
