SOLD

for sale is a custom set of tubular headers. they are upswept TT style headers, 3/8 flange, 1 5/8 primaries mild steel. a 2.5 inch V-band flange has been welded onto the end of the collector and the other part of the flange will be included along with the clamp. i've been working with a fabricator to start making these as a low cost alternative to similar headers out there and these are the first prototype set. only the driver side has been made, but the passenger side will be made to match for aesthetic purposes. these are quality headers for someone serious about making some big power. they will not bolt into a stock engine bay. i was going to put this set in my truck but i needed to make some changes for my particular setup.

Looks good. What radius were the U/J/donuts you used for the primarys?

Re: Custom tubular headers for sale

If I provide the block and heads to mock up, can I get a discount on a set of TT headers?

i already have a few spare blocks and a few sets of heads for mock up purposes. i cannot start to openly sell these until i become a sponsor but i'm still working on putting this business venture together.

i'm only selling these because they are my set of headers but my truck will require a small change in design so i'm getting another set

Is that price of 500 for the pair? what mods did you have to make to make them fit?

500 for the pair passenger and driver side

as i mentioned before these wont bolt into a stock truck. my engine bay is pretty open, no battery, no abs, no a/c or heat, no radiator or clutch fan etc. etc. they were designed to clear the accessories and brackets and the brake booster in my truck. steering shaft clearance like always is very tight, we made the 5 primary hug the heag as much as possible but these may require the huge collar to be removed or clearanced. otherwise these have never been mounted

I would like to take a pic of my trucks engine bay and email it to you. I pretty much have everything deleted also. Do you think these headers will support twin 74mm turbos or will they need some other kind of support. What mods are you making to the new style? And also what do you expect they will cost?

E-mail addy?

Whoever welded on these did a damn good job. They look very very nice. I bet it was fun welding between the tubes like that!!

by support do you mean support the weight of a 74mm? I would recommend no matter what turbo or turbos you decide to run that you brace them somehow for support. its cheap insurance against stress cracks

the only difference between these and the next set is that the collectors on the new set will be set further back. the v-band on these sits about 2.5 inches past the head. the jig will be made of the second set so these will be a one off. for pricing they will be well under 1k, in the 6-7 range

Too bad we can't standard headers for our trucks for those kinds of prices.

Sorry just got home. Not planning on keeping it but it's there for now. will these not work with it? What is a cheap alternative to eliminate it? I was planning on keeping heat but unfortunately my custom radiator didn't have the bungs to keep the heat.

Aren't these awfully high up? Like, close to the hood?

I was thinking the same thing. While I love to "turbo sticking through the hood" look, it kinda ruins the whole sleeper thing...

lets just over estimate the height and say its 10 inches from the port centerline to the top of the collector. i just went out and measured my truck, which isnt a syty, but has a 4.3 and the same alt/ps accessory bracket with the alt installed. at 10 inches its still below the height of the alt

i hope this clears it up
