I mounted my MSD-6A on the block off panel that came with the KB intake kit. This put it inside the fender between the battery and the air filter box.

I ended up mounting the box on the HVAC panel above the passanger valve cover. Took me about a Half an hour to install as everything needed to connect the box was within inches! Looks good there as well IMO, it's just a matter of heat being an issue. Thanks for the ideas... I went with the simple solution. Didn't fix my issue BTW, but I figured it wouldn't....
