300hp with a shitty tune? LOL isnt a tune the biggest hurdle in these trucks?

Is the alky necessary for this combo? I'm asking, because I'm trying to figure out what direction to go with my truck. I was going to try to avoid alky as long as possible to keep my variables to a minimum.

If you intend on running 18 psi reliably on pump gas, yes.

My combo is about the same, but have fast system & A 72mm with 75 lb injectors. what do you think with that combo on C-16 race gas & 24-26 psi on A good tune?

If you intend on running 18 psi reliably on pump gas, yes.

I wish I wouldn't have had such a narrow minded opinion like this when my truck was stockish. Alky and more boost is the cheapest mod you can do. Tuning of course too. IMO, a good tune will only get you so far (as with anything else). If you do a tune first, get used to it, then go get a good EBC like the Profec, then your alky kit, you can have a very fast and reliable truck. Sometimes I wish I would have listened in the beginning of all this and just done that to begin with. To hell with the headache of all the big mods, its a PITA and costs a lot of money. My main point though, is that you really should not try and avoid alky, it really is a good thing to have, especially on our trucks.
