Re: front brake hoses

It could just be your booster. But it should be sightly stiffer..

Re: front brake hoses

forgot to mention i did bleed the brakes twice. rr>lr>rf>lf.

i heard the ss lines made for a stiffer pedal but i would imagine it would only werk if the brakes are already stopping properly. i was going to buy regular lines from autozone but now i will look into the ss. if that's not it then the m cylinder then booster i guess. thanks a bunch!

Re: front brake hoses

Big difference. The stainless lines makes for a stiffer pedal.

you know where i can find the lines from frame to wheel. i already have the abs delete and all that. just looking for frame to wheel, not a kit, if it exists.

If you're just looking for the rubber line (with the bracket that mounts to the upper a-arm), and nothing special, any parts store should have them. They're like $12-$13 at O'reillys around here...

Re: front brake hoses

go to summitt and you can get them. blk00z28 just ordered some for his truck. He can telly ou the part number. i dont remember becasue it has been over 5 years ago from when i did my brakes. I did a lot though. baer brakes up front, ss lines, 5/8 wheel cylinders, aluminum drums, abs delete then a little over a year ago i went o hydroboost and now it is rock hard. You would not belive the braking power now.

Re: front brake hoses

Are you getting good flow from the fronts when you bleed them?
And you have done the ABS delete?
If yes on the delete, but not real good flow when you bleed the fronts, you have to use the clips on the combination valve while bleeding.

whoa, whoa, whoa!, what is that? you just opened a new can of beans for me. never seen those or even heard of those clips before.

who ever did the brakes before i bought the ty had them set up pretty bad @$$. stopped on a dime and the pads were below specs, even. so i did a pad swap w/new cross drilled/slotted rotors and the pedal felt like poo. months later did new pads(thinking that was the problem) and new calipers for the pulling.
bleeding the system went normal. could hear all the air coming out of the new calipers. flow seemed to be normal.
and yes, i do have the abs delete. i didn't do it, it was already done before me.
where can i find this bleeder kit and does it have instructions?

Re: front brake hoses

The 25 kit came today. It looks like it should work.

Now, I don't know why there are 3 different kits. The only thing that I could see would be different would be the block fitting holes might be a different size. Which I won't actually know until I go to install them. But the kit comes with the front two line, and the rear from the frame down to the rear.

Now, I just need to find hard lines from the drums to this hard line.
