Typhoon is finally moving but need help

well after nearly 3 years my typhoon actually drove to the gas station and back. I got a fresh tranny installed and my converter restalled at 3k. and now that it is back on the road it doesn't want to rev past 3000 rpm and the turbo is screaming like 10 - 15psi when I am barely moving. If i am moving at 40mph and step on it the rpms stop at 3grand and the turbo spools up to 15 psi but doesn't pull or downshift. Issues I can think of are the wastegate might be rusted shut, the tv cable not set properly, something wrong with the converter or tranny i am just looking for advice on where to start.
Thanks

Re: Typhoon is finally moving but need help

seems like something is fishy in your drivetrain. or brakes.

Anyone?
Maybe I should have posted this in drivetrain tech if an admin could move it.

Sounds like its being held back, are all the brakes free? you could also pull the front prop off and see if that makes any difference.

I would think all the brakes are free I have been pushing it up and down my driveway for the past few years to keep the tires round easily enough, what would removing the prop shaft do for me?

shoot me an email rene at mcv.nu
if you're engine is making boost and screaming like it makes power it sure sounds like something is sticking.

Re: Typhoon is finally moving but need help

I really hope it is something really stupid on my part like driving with the e-brake depressed. The car is at my parents house so I can't really check it right now but that does seem logical and would be lot easier to fix than pulling it all apart again. I don't recall the brake light on the dash being illuminated but I do think the anti-lock light might have been on.

Re: Typhoon is finally moving but need help

OK I went and double checked the brakes and everything was fine e-brake was up and it rolled easy in neutral so I wanted to test it one more time 1,2 felt fine but when I got to 3rd it was still doing it. I wanted to get into 4th gear on the highway so i got on the on ramp and it wouldn't get out of 3rd and i am going about 60 when i hear something let go i get off the next exit and all my forward gears are gone. Reverse still works fine. I got it towed home and I am calling the builder tomorrow morning and they better fix it under warranty. I am a pretty pissed but what do you guys think might have caused this so i can sound somewhat knowledgeable about the issue before I call.
Thanks
