Very well done. Clean engine for having AC, what made you go with the 72GTQ dual BB? What turbo did you have before, and how does it compare?

Thanks. I wasn't willing to get rid of the AC and was able to get everything to fit (just barely) with some help from Mike at RPM. Nolan and Mike recommended this turbo. It should get the job done :) I blew through two 60-1 turbos on the stock motor. I think I pushed them too hard because the bearings kept failing. I was running around with 20+ psi constantly. The engine has only a few hundred miles on it so I can't really say how strong it feels yet. Need to break it in first.

It works great, feels like a shot of NOS when I open it up. Not something I will use often, though, because it's extremely loud with it open. For racing only

I like.... :). Those rims really add a sweet touch. Where did you get the cover for your AC compressor?

Those March pulleys are available from Summit Racing. The part numbers are posted in another thread here.

Yes, and it feels like a shot of NOS when it's open. I drove the truck today quite a bit and it's just absurdly fast. I have to really use discipline with my right foot in this thing because it pulls like a raped ape at only 16psi. I took LIVE1053RULZ for a spin today after we adjusted the ride height and we were giggling like children after a few pulls. The bad news is the passenger side valve cover is leaking oil something fierce and the outer CV boot on the passenger side split when I was adjusting the QA1 coil-over spring with the span wrench. Now, the boot is slingling grease all over. Anyone know if it's possible to cut and replace the stock CV boot or do I have to get a complete new axle now? BTW, the 80e rocks - no more clunky 2-1 downshift and everything is adjustable through the TCU software. I need someone to review my TCI calibration file to see if everything looks right. The TCC lockup was set to 32mph and I raised that up closer to 50mph. It feels like someone kicked me in the back when the TCC locks. I need to soften that up at part-throttle somehow.

Re: Sy Is Finally Done (Again)

50 is probably close to where you will end up with TCC lockup, I believe you have an unlock table also, so it won't unlock until something lower. Play with those 2 to get a good smooth lockup that doesn't drag motor down yet locks up when you get on freeway.

They do sell a repair boot at the stores, ~$30. They work but look like poo and don't seal like stockers. New shaft isn't much more money.

If you have aftermarket lower a arms, shaft probably can be changed without pulling any suspension apart.

Do you have a part number for that replacement boot? How much would a complete CV axle assembly be?

Sy looks awesome Jeremy
I've got that same tranny cooler and fan setup that I'm going to mount in a week or so. I was hoping to move mine further towards the front... did you have a specific thought in mind when mounting yours that far back?

Just head to store, should be in help section or they can look it up.

I believe rebuild axles are like $60 or so, depends store, etc. Of course prices could have changed.

Jeremy, I have a good GM one if you want to buy it for cheap. Let me know. Truck looks pimp by the way. It would be sweet if our trucks could battle it out once i get mine done.

See ya,
