Can't say I have been here long enough to really know everyone. I can say this though, after being on many different forums, I can honestly say this site has some of the least drama out of all of them. The corvette sites seem very clean and helpful to. I just I'm realizing though we should all try and help each other out because SyTys are rare. Its not like we have a lot of guys in the same area who can all hang out. At least in my part of PA I know of maybe 1 or 2 Tys and none of them are on the forum. From my experience people on here are very helpful. One of the members even let me take a cowl hood, clear turns, clear fogs without me paying him right away. I only paid him 40 bucks at the meet, and have been giving him payments since. Talk about trust, and I would never screw over anyone because someone did it to me before and it sucks.
After being around 11 or so years now, Ive come to realize that the trucks are just now an excuse to hang out with the guys Ive meet on here over the years. Anyone that comes or has been to a FAST meet soon realizes that the hardcores dont care much about the trucks anymore as we do just hanging out amongst ourselves and telling some funny stories. We moved past the "hey, we all own the same truck, so we gotta hang out" to "hey, hows the family, what are you up to this weekend, lets BBQ". The trucks just come as a secondary way to have fun.
This group has had its fair share of pranks and im sure this wont be the last we see of one...the BG lives prank I think still stands at #1.
so uhh......i'm interested in this story, are newer members allowed to know more?
maybe a link if the thread hasn't been deleted?
You know what they say....."You lie down with dogs and you'll wake up with fleas." :lol:How do I manage to get drug into everything(counting myself involved in 75% of the above mentioned Shenanigans)?!?!?!??!!

oh and the prank of the stickers and the upside down tags and all the sy/ty stickers all over the hotel and the lovely wedding that was going on that same sat and the bride hanging out with us in the parking lot.
FAST and SoCal need to team up again for more good pranks for Nats BG. When me, Sean Morris and Ian found the ice statue, it was only natural to grab it and take it to the hill on the side of the hotel and start sledding on it. I think it was Guy Lavys C16 we stole out of his truck to then light the ice on fire. Just for the record, it took some work to get that many tags off, turn upside down and back on.
I forgot who it was who handed me their brand new helmet to use when I jumped in the garbage can and lined it with the table cloth and had the great idea to roll myself down the loading dock ramp. Thank god I was wearing that helmet.....
Good times....good times.
BTW what ever happened to the KAK
T-bone....when did you become aware of the thread? Had you only just gotten word of it recently? You hadn't logged into the site for a month or so prior to it. Just curious if you let it play out before complaining....or if this was the first time you'd seen it.
No you are correct, it did take a staff member to change the post # and the registration date, the way I read your post and the others in this thread was that T-Bones privlages or personal information (privacy) had been violated, but that is not the case.
That's cool (and actually ironically funny) that you were there and bidding. I sure didn't know you were there...and would be surprised if the 'vigilante' knew.
I wasn't there. I opted for them to contact me to bid over the phone. They knew my limit so I really wasn't involved in the bidding however, if the bidding would have stopped at $42,000 (just throwing out a figure), then my counter bid would have been engaged until my maximum or final bid was reached or exceeded by another phone/on-line bidder OR one that was actually there. Since mine was exceeded on the floor, I didn't have much play. Hope that makes some sense.
