All Talk can't back it up
Leaving for Arizona tomorrow and looking to buy the PPG as an investment. Assuming my bid does get the PPG I will be looking to either sell it for a profit or part it out.

To help me justify to the wife and myself would anybody be interested in parts? As much as I hate to do it I am sure it will be worth more as parts, as several of you can then own a piece of history.

Post here if your interested in any specific part so I can start making a list.

if i had the money to buy it i dont think i'd part it , i think i would trailer it to nats and just torch it on the final night , kinda like a satanic ritually. but if you do part it i call dibs on the lower radiator hose clamps and the left front marker light bulb.

why buy it if your unsure if you can turn a profit on it? part out one of the experimental ZR1s instead.

I want the air from the tires and the #3 spark plug wire.

The roof.....just the roof....cut it off if you need to. I mean, it's just another S10 roof, right?

Actually, if your going to cut things.... I would really like the tailgate with the entire tonneau cover and all the hardware with it as a working unit.

I would like the 1st 1/32 of rubber that was driven off the tires with proof pics to confirm that the rubber came from this truck. OH yeah, how bad I want it depends on the cost that you want to sell it for.

Another piece of SyTy history possibly goin down the tubes. :( What a waste of such a rare vehicle.

At the same time, if this did get parted, I don't see how you would even come close to the buying price by parting it out. Yeah there is alot of one-off stuff in this but not that much $$$ worth.

Put the bong down!

J/k. I'm curious how parting it out could make you more money if any at all? I just can't think of enough stuff all that different from my truck besides the seats, roof, a couple of other bits I have never seen, and the paint.Ya can't sell the paint can you? PPG is cool but I'd let someone else buy it, keep your red one and be happy you already own a piece of history. :2cents:

edit: Just checked the truck out...http://www.sportmachines.com/gallery/91PPG-Syclone/91_2268_01

That thing is right just the way it is.
